When a single metric is selected on the Data Scout slide bars
the Fit Score represents a percentile rank for that particular
stat.
So for example if we have filtered on goals the player with a
Fit Score of 100 is the player with the most goals scored and
players with a Fit Score of 0 represent those with a minimum number
of goals set on the slide bar.
If we then add a second stat such as assists then we calculate
their Fit Score of this and combine it with the Fit Score on goals
to create an average Fit Score across both metrics. The player now
with a Fit Score of 100 is the one with the best fit across both
stats.
Opta collect all data live as it happens. Our primary output is
data but events should be within a second of the video timestamp.
Precise timestamps are edited post-match during our QC process.
This should be done within 24 hours of the live match.
After selecting file and import Opta, you need to select the F24
event details file. However a 2nd file name srml-matchresults.xml
must be in the same folder directory as the F24 file. It is this
file which SportsCode will automatically load and call player names
from.
Opta collect 99% of its data live and checks all key events (shot,
goal, assist) immediately post match. We then perform a full QC
using a different team of analysts within 24 hours.
This can be configured by Opta's partner StratBridge. Opta will
provide a spreadsheet where users can indicate which stats they
wish to appear. Please contact Opta directly if you need guidance
on this contact us via the live chat (if available), the contact
for or by email customerservice-uk@optasports.com.
When using grid view, right click and select "choose columns" and
select those you wish to see. Then select save and apply, you will
be asked to name this combination of columns. The next time you
right click on the grid there is an option to select "retrieve
settings" where your saved view will be listed. Users can then
create a personal template of the stats they wish to look at for
each playing position.
DataScout uses the positions played by each player over the past
18 months and uses the position they most frequently played in as
their default position. However within each player profile page
there is also a detailed playing position listed which can be
altered using the "edit bio" button. Data can also be listed
aggregated by positions they have played throughout their
career.
Opta data is available live. Please contact Scout7Xeatre for
information on how quickly videos can be made available. Each
client has a tailored SLA.
Opta data is available live but the Query Tool will update after
the final fixture of the day. Data Scout will be updated at the end
of each group of matches/matchday and following the Opta QC
process.
