The application of data and analytics in German football has progressed steadily over recent years. A country with an analysis culture that is well educated on tactical concepts and approaches, the addition of statistical analysis to help inform and enhance performance has been embraced across the region.
The OptaPro Konferenz, which first launched in 2017, brings together clubs across the top three divisions to showcase how data and analytics can be best applied across performance analysis and recruitment departments, with presentations delivered by leading practitioners from the professional game.
